I have an 02 Tahoe. Is it ok to use something like a Lucas fuel cleaner, or Seafoam in it? Someone told me that you have to use a special cleaner for chevy's. Let me know thanks.

I have used seafoam as a fuel additive as well as lucas as a fuel additive. However, I've been wanting to seafoam the intake to clean the intake valves and what not. I have heard that isn't a simple process like it is on many other engines. I done this procedure on several other motors but I haven't been able to find a vacuum line that feeds all eight cylinders on the Vortec. Anyone that could help out in this regard? Pics would be helpful too.

OP, you don't need a special injector cleaner. This is as per my dealer. In fact, they encouraged me to use the stuff at my store because theirs was overpriced and not that good. I was surprised to hear that. Lucas is good. So is 3M and STP. I prefer 3M myself.

You can buy seafoam for 6 bucks, then use it in the tank, the oil, and the vaccum lines.

Much more bang for your buck! (Yes, I've tried them all)
