Hey everybody! I'm new here and glad to have found this awesome forum! I have a 2007 Yukon XL SLT. At last fillup, it "spilled over" and made a pretty healthy puddle on ground. I pinpointed it to fuel pump area, but can't tell exactly what's leaking. We did have the dealer replace the pump about 8,000 miles ago under powertrain warranty. Possible connection?? Now we also have a PO455 code. The gas cap was tight and the seal appears to be good. Haven't replaced it yet, doubting that the leak and code are just coincidence and not related. Is this a code that will come up due to pressure loss, whether at cap or pump hole, etc? Is there anything up there that could leak besides the pump o-ring? Hose connections I guess?

Thanks for any help!!

I forgot.........we did get the "Tighten Gas Cap" message since the leak as well.

Mr Rumblur,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. I agree with blueflamed03 that you should go back to your dealership. Since they are the ones who replaced the pump in the first place, they should be able to find out where the leak is coming from and what the cause is.

Thank you,

Elizabeth, GM Customer Service

Thanks! Sounds good! Already scheduled for Monday. I guess I get stuck in the mode of fixing (or at least trying) everything myself :)
