This is normal operation. Our fuel tanks no longer have baffles in the tank so when the truck is parked on an incline or decline the fuel gauge may not read accurate. To go along with not having any baffles there is a buffer so that the fuel gauge does not fluctuate from the fuel moving in the tank. What is happening is that the truck is learning the fuel level after key off near E and once the vehicle is driven it starts reading correctly after meeting the criteria of the buffer.
