Hey Everyone. So, I was replacing the fuel pump on my '02 Yukon XL the other day, and as I'm sure you've guessed... the fuel pump connector broke. I successfully removed it once and put it back together, only have have received a bad fuel pump (Airtex) from the parts store. I did everything as I did before, except I guess 1 is the magic number for me, and it broke the second time. :mad3: So, my question is, does anyone know where to get a replacement connector end or a fix for the locking part of the connector? Basically what I have now is that I'm able to slide the connector off and on freely without a positive lock to keep it on. I'd given thought to using zip ties to hold it in, but thought I'd try here first for a better fix. Thanks!

Are you referring to the plastic collar that fits inside the fuel line and locks the line onto the pump or the actual line itself? For the plastic collar most auto parts stores carry them for a couple bucks and if the line itself is broken you can get a replacement line surprisingly cheap from a dealer. I find it's easiest to install the collars in the lines them just lightly press them onto the pump to avoid breakage.

Or perhaps your referring to the electrical connection?

Rockauto, if your not in a hurry. Otherwise I would zip tie it, or put a single wrap of duct tape. Doesn't take much to hold it. I would also use a little dielectric grease to seal it up.
