I have to replace my fuel pump and wondering if this is something I can do myself. The truck is hard starting and has died on me twice. What brands to go with. DO i need a assembly or what. I just want to buy the right part

Go with OEM, and yes it is way easier than i thought it would be especially if you are mechanically inclined at all!!

Part number should be easy although I don't know it off hand. Try to siphon the gas out before you drop the tank if it is full. Pretty straightforward process. Go ahead and change the filter if yours has one. I think I read that some years have them and some don't,
