Fuel pump interchange

Sup guys anyone know if a 2002 avalanche fuel pump would fit in my 01 yukon xl? Why i ask well my father has a new pump from his avalanche laying around

Not sure about your question, but my buddy tried ordering my pump today and there's two different pumps for a 5.3. He was told there's a difference in the nipple size. Just a heads up.

Maybe you could tell by running the vins from both trucks.

Sup guys just went to autozone to get the fuel pump and my friend called the dealer to find out which pump was it thinking they were two diff models but the dealer said theres two pumps in my truck a main and aux.. Now how do i know which is bad since is only my fuel level sensor thats bad not the actual pump since the truck runs normal

Anybody know if the location of the fuel pump is the same on the 1500
And 2500 am going to make hatch instead of dropping down the tank

You sure you want to do a hatch? Imo, I don't think you should do that, again, just my opinion.

Is an old truck so in wouldnt mind cutting the floor we did it on my fathers avalanche and is so easy to change the fuel pump especially his changed it twice already

Sorry I don't know. In my 03 Hoe it's on the driver side, between the driver seat and 2nd row, or there abouts.
