Have a gas smell coming from the rear of my 05 escalade (base model). Replaced the gas cap but still having gas smell. No check engine lights and seems to start fine. Reading up on it seems to be a fuel or evap line may need to be replaced. Actually all likely need to be replaced.
Can somebody provide a diagram of these lines/ hoses? Part numbers would be good too.
Thanks.

Go to VALLEYPARTS.COM and put in you model. The exploded diagram will come up with all number and pricing. Probably have a rotted out sending unit or things in the area of the top tank if you live inba salt state. If that's the case, then plan on replacing everything to make your life easier.

Good place to start looking. I had a 94 Ranger that had the top plate on the fuel pump assembly just perforate with rust holes... We use liquid rust on our roads in MA! Could not fill the tank until I replaced the pump.
I even had the owner of a pizza shop ask me not to park near the kitchen door, because I was gassing him out with the fumes!
