I'll take that post out since I'm not on here to be political, I'm here to talk about vehicles...

For a family of 6 with a 140lb dog, wasn't even a consideration.

Also, this...

It will definitely be interesting to see what happens. I think politics trying to force electric cars might backfire because it will be forcing the technology through before it is truly ready for the mainstream (if it is ready, it wouldn't have to be forced) and there are a lot of people out there who will resist something just because the government is trying to force it (no matter which party is in office). I'm currently not a fan of electric cars at all mainly because of the looks but as time goes on I'm sure they will look more "normal" if they really want to attract buyers. I really don't get why people see a Tesla and swoon over it like a Lamborghini. They just aren't good looking cars the lines and proportions are all just very odd looking but then again I think the same thing about the GM 19/21+ trucks and SUVs.

Like has been said, I will be dead before it gets worrisome to me. I know I will never own an electric vehicle. It doesn't take much smarts to see how things will go now that there is a different party in power. It is what it is.

Would $4.00 a gallon deter someone from buying a large SUV? How about $5.00 a gallon? Downsizing to an Aviator wouldn't be much of a fuel savings when the thing cost as much as a Tahoe. Is fuel cost even a factor when increased vehicle cost exceeds several years of fuel savings. Does economy have any merit in the recipe? Might as well go for the 6.2 Escalade with smart cruise and chillax, hmmm, why not?
