G4s make trunk hard to open

My new g4s I got for Christmas are making my trunk super hard to open. Today after lacrosse practice, I tried to open my trunk with the handle and it was so hard to open. Is this normal or what?

Sometimes the edge of the lamps will rub against the edge of the liftgate.

If that's what's happening then loosen the tail lamp that's rubbing, and push it hard outwards as you re-tighten the screws so that when it's screwed back in it's as far from the edge of the liftgate as possible.

That's exatcly what's happening. So I should pull the light out then push it to the side a little bit then push it back in..?

You don't have to pull the whole light out. All you have to do is loosen the two screws so that you can be pushing the lamp outward (away from the liftgate) as you tighten them back up. You're basically trying to get the screw to tighten at the fartherst point of the screw hole in the lamp, if that makes sense? It shouldn't take you more than a few minutes to do this.
