I recall reading this on the forum in the past few months but couldn't narrow it down via search. Sorry if I'm bringing up a resolved topic.

I was taking my car out to store at my folks for the winter and the wifey was driving the Burb. This was the first time I have ever been behind my own Suburban and noticed that when she would signal for turns that the G5 led tails would blink out of sync with the signal mirror. For example, when signaling left... When the Tail flashed the mirror was off and when the mirror lit up the tail signal would be off. There is no fast-blink or anything it's simply out of sync. Any cure for this? I know it's probably something to do with how the resistor is controlling the load and thus may be unavoidable but figured I'd ask.

Thanks in advance!

Yup, that's what they do.

They blink off sync when the brake isn't pressed and when you press the brakes they blink in sync.

Both the G4s and G5s do that.

Here's the interesting part. I checked them before heading home and everything is fine. While parked, I applied the left turn signal and everything was in sync. Same with the right signal... and even the hazards. So do they just blink out of sync when the brake IS depressed and signaling?

Sorry yes, from what I remember it's pressing the brake that makes them blink off sync.

You're welcome.

On a somewhat interesting side note ... I'm almost certain my oem esky tails did the same thing on my Yukon. I think it's more of an issue with the programming of the truck communicating weirdly with the leds than the tails themselves.
