I'm curious what you guys are averaging for gas mileage. My wife drives a lot and I'm curious if gas mileage has improved much over the 2014. I am considering either the Yukon SLT or the Tahoe LTZ. I test drove both and reset the gauge cluster first and averaged 17 mpg in the Yukon on a test drive and then 11 in the Tahoe. Same 5.3 liter engine etc. If you click into the info screen in your center gauge cluster it will give you your average MPG.

I am considering getting a new CNG pickup truck, if I do that I will get a home filling station, and get her vehicle converted as well, and I'd like to plug your miles per gallon etc. into my payoff spreadsheet etc.

I have a 2015 denali with the 6.2 haven't reset the milage for the last 700 miles and average is 16.4 with a average speed of 35mph so that is with a lot of town driving. I got 20.6 driving 50miles on the highway between 65 and 70. The 5.3 should get better milage than the 6.2

I am averaging 15 MPG. Now this in mind....I live in Cincy, OH area. We drive up and down the hills around here. My weekend trips are on rolling hills to WV. On that stretch, I get 19.2 MPG doing 65 MPH.

Gas mileage is all relevent to where you live and how you drive. (When I drove to WV doing 75, I got 17 MPG, so I slowed down 10 MPH to get better mileage-19.2 MPG.)

FWIW...My 2011 Jeep GC Overland with v-6 Pentastar got 17.2 on the WV trip.

Update....
This weekend I got 21.5 MPG on way to WV...woohoo! driving 65 MPH on rolling hills for 110 miles and 70 MPH for 40 miles.

I just averaged the poll numbers and everyone is averaging 17.22 mpg. I'd be curious how to see how things continue to average as the volume of data builds.

I have a suburban 5.3L and highway driving i'm getting 24mpg. city driving is 18mpg - could probably get that a little better but i have a lead foot.

I am very impressed with the gas mileage compared to my old 2010 silverado which was getting 11mpg on the highway.
