I have a 2007 and I get about 15-16 and that is not stop and go traffic. I don't have a light foot either, but even going easy I still have not seen improvement. I was thinking about getting a BB tune, but was still undecided.

Hi first time posting but been lurking around the forum for a while. But is it normal if i get only 12-13 mpg? I have a 09 LS model

I get 12 but I live in a suburbia hell with stop lights and stop signs everywhere. BB tune did give me some mpg boost and a notable performance boost. On the highway when I reset my fuel economy while I'm driving, I get around 17 when I'm at 70.

I get 14-15 mpg with my 6.2L escalade... That's mixed driving with probably 70% not highway. And i'm taking it easy.

Alright just checking. I probably drive 1 mile of highway for every 2 in the city. So I guess my crappy mileage is justifiable, but I want to make it better. I'l planning on cams and headers soon, intake comes first though. I'm avoiding the volant because everybody keeps having bad stories.

Anyone used airraid?

For those that got BB tunes, did it help your V4 percentage? Even if I hit cruise control while my foot has the truck running at V4 mode, I almost instantly switch back to V8 mode once I hit cruise. So I drop from 20-24mpg to 17-18. I only have a 6 minute drive to work the first and last mile or so are city. the middle 4 miles is highway.

Honestly, i can easily see myself getting 11-12 mpg's on my daily commute, But since this car doesn't brake as well as my infiniti did, I drive slower to prevent any accidents (I used to brake really late b/c it was so easy to stop in my infiniti), also this thing drinks gas like no other, so I try to keep it in V4 mode by feathering the throttle keeping the car at speed limit to help my mileage. So far so good.

As far as mods, some say they help gas mileage but I wouldn't know, all the cars I've had that were modded got worse mileage, mostly b/c i would press on the gas a little harder to hear the intake/exhaust....

I have HP tuners and to me it wasn't that hard. I would bump up the % a little, then calculate the MPG. I was also data logging at the same time.

you should read about the crappy lifters in there... thy will not last even without pushing the limits of the V4.. look at a cutaway of the system.. i am so pissed that i have the DOD on my 6.2..

Having gotten that out, i would definately get a tune to lean out the cruise, i saw a decent gain by doing that about 10% on a 65-70mph cruise (18.5mpg) before i was getting in the 16mpg range.
