Got in my 99 Tahoe this morning and started it up. I drove up the street and noticed that my gauges are not working. My oil pressure, Amp, Temp, and Gas gauges. The tach and the speedo is working., I also noticed that when I accelerated the engine stalled out until I returned back to idle.
I checked the fuses and all is well there.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

are you absolutely sure the in cab fuse #4 "gauges" is good? do the back lights not work either? or air bag system? If not you are looking at a possible ignition switch issue.

then the fuse i mentioned or its wiring has to be bad in order for the cluster to fail like it did. remove the cluster and look at the circuit tracing for damage as well.

BTW the speedo and tach are powered from the tranny fuse.

I have checked the fuse. It was a 10A fuse. I will replace it with another. Are you of the opinion that it is in the wiring or the cluster. I can pick up another cluster at my local bone yard for 50 .00
