99-04 Tahoes and Yukons could be ordered with different gears depending on what drivetrain it had. 2WDs could get 3.23s (standard) or 3.73s (optional). The 4WDs could be ordered with 3.73s (standard) or 4.10s. I think, for a short run, you could get 3.42s in the 2WDs. The Suburbans and Yukon XLs got 3.73s standard, both 2WD and 4WD, with 4.10s being an option on both.
05-06s were a little different. Tahoe/Yukon 2WD still had 3.23 and 3.73, while the 4WDs changed to 3.42 standard with 4.10s being an option. Suburban/XL went to 3.42 standard on both 2WD and 4WD, with 4.10s being an option on both.
This is for the 1/2 tons. The 2500s always had 3.73s standard with 4.10s being optional.
