This will give u a greater understanding of how gears work. Its confusing. But it makes sense all at the same time. With 4:10 the driveshaft will spin 4.10 times per your tires spinning one time. More torque but less speed. Youll be shifting all the time. 3:08, the exact opposite. Less torque but higher top speed. Youll hold a gear longer and will need more torque from your engine to produce the same effect of 4:10.

Make any sense? I confused myself.:chair:

I have 4:10's and love them I also only have 20's with 275-55R20's but I'm not stock either.

The lower the gear the lower the top end but you are running 26's right?
I use to have 16's with 265-55R16's god I could roast them through all four gears it was so ...... You diff in my opoin need a lower gear. And it'll prob run you all said and done about $1000. If its gonna be open you might as well put a better posi or limited slip or locker in there too.

If its worth doing don't half ass it.

If you are staying around town and don't do much highway driving, the lower (numerically higher) gears might actually give you better mileage.

Just remember if you have a 4x4 you have to do front gears as well not just rear
