People always say that putting 89 octane with 10% Ethanol in It is better then 87. I disagree if you engine calls for ethanol than fine But putting ethanol in a non ethanol engine will damage it sooner than later it will get gummed up and not run efficiently with years of ethanol slime tarnishing your engine. On thing they don't tell you about ethanol is its not made for regular engines even if it is 89 octane with 10% ethanol. Ethanol on a regular engine is not good no matter what amount it may burn up but the residue left behind is gumming up your cars made for regular octane, If you have a Hybrid that's fine but all three of mine take mainly 93 or 87 at times
but if it says mixed with ethanol I stay clear. If I had a hybrid I will be all over it but until then non ethanol for me.
