Funny thing is, I only have the small crack by the air bag so it seems wrong to replace it now. I know whats coming and as Mrs GeorgeB said “get it before they stop selling replacements”. So the new one is on the way and will get installed whenever I get around to it.
I thought the tab in the middle broke also, or was that someone else that posted the pic with it zip tied?

Yes, thats me. I had some breakage occur on a washboard road. Boy! That dash flops bad on those!
My 2011 didn't have any cracks, but that tab in the middle was broken and it would bounce over bumps. I pulled the front defroster area up (need to remove A pillars first) and put a small strip of heavy duty velcro, the kind that snaps together, in that area so the two pieces hold together better.

It seems that stiffer, sturdier defroster strip is designed to hold the center of the dash edge up. When that tab breaks, the center starts sagging and bouncing

I believe the tab broke when I was running that washboard road after the dash warmed up in the sun. I could probably get away with some velcro in that spot and a small plug for the little hole I drilled but if I am going to take that panel out I will have a replacement handy.

My new dash arrived along with the forward filler panel. I inspected for damage and all seems good. I am surprised how flimsy if a piece it is even though its the updated design.
whenever I get around to ordering one I plan on epoxying some Popsicle sticks or flat bars or stiff plastic or metal or whatever is handy underneath it to strengthen it up in the weak spots

like they tend to break around the cluster, around the center speaker (if equipped) and on the thin strip in front of the passenger side aribag.
