So i am new to the Tahoe, ive had it since december and am loving it, i switched from a 2017 f 150 to the 24 tagoe RST

My first SUV, plenty of room inside and a great ride, id say at least as good if not better than my f150 in the snow. Im a ford guy but LOVE the tahoe style and think the expedition is just kind of boxy and ugly…

One complaint…

After my “free data” period ended, i kept getting notifications.. to use this you need a data plan. So i disabled notification and disabled the google apps and just use carplay maps.

My gripe, and it may be my lack of setting up properly, but when i click the home button, it shows me my music playing and kind of a shell of the chevy google map screen with no data and just a search magnifying glass. Can i remove that totally? Since i do not have a data plan i have no need to have half the screen blocked by an app that wont open.

Thanks for any info…

Swipe the sreen one panel to the right, and you won't see that anymore.

Yeah but its still on the home screen, seems stupid to have a shell of a gps, id rather have an outdated one that actually works than one that forces you to get their data plan

You can connect to your cell phone (hot spot), and it will work fine.. just set the WiFi to your hotspot/cell
