Don't forget a new battery. Optima red top.
And don't use your parking brake. They can freeze to the drum.

Thank you for your service Bryan.
Be safe.

"Unfortunately Canada is a few steps ahead of America in that no one can carry sidearms, permit or not"
I would argue that they are several hundred feet BEHIND America in that regard. And i thought that he was going to Alaska where a permit is NOT required to carry a sidearm.
A few steps ahead of the terribly misguided direction Amerika is headed in. I ship my guns to my cousin in Anchorage every year so that I can use my Constitutionally protected Right to bear arms everywhere I can. :usaflag:

Alaska has the best gun policy in the US imo.:biggun:

Can you tell I'm pro-gun?

Very true, they will freeze, and it can be very hard to get them released. Plus a battery blanket, your battery will lose lots of cranking power in that cold.

Day one down, 3 to go just to California for the holidays. Thanks for all the advice guys. I am getting a set of chains before I leave So Cal. Yukon is running great so far. Made it from OKC to Amarillo on less than 3/4 of a tank. My mileage probably sucks but I figured it would with that big ole cargo carrier strapped to the top. I'll figure my MPGs in the morning.

Now to get rid of this bad cold!!!
