after doing a bit of homework I settled on a 2012 Denali, I really like the chevy grill but had to have the 6.2l and the package with it, my main reason besides all that was the parts interchange compatibility there is going to be plenty of parts around for many years to come at likely reasonable prices. this is versus my old 2000 which had a 2 year compatibility and nobody could ever find the right parts because in 2000 there was 2 body styles old and new and so it was always a gamble and a pain in the a** like GM didn't know what they were doing or something.

Too bad you couldn't find a 2009 Tahoe LTZ. I also liked the Chevy grill better and '09 was the ONLY year the Tahoe was available with the 6.2 liter engine. Plus, it came with the better 2 speed transfer case, rather than the AWD option the Denali's came with. My LTZ has every option available and after looking nationwide for it, after 6 months, I finally found a nice one with only 111,000 miles on it. If it even comes close to my 2002 Yukon, which I finally sold after 250,000 and still ran perfect, I will be more than pleased. Glad you found what you were looking for!

For what its worth, here's a low milage '09 with a 6.2. I almost bought it. Seems clean too.

ya that's a little on the high end price wise I picked up my 2012 denali xl for 28000 with 80k, autonation's prices are a little better but they wont haggle either, what you see is what you get.
Yes and no. Its an old man driven one owner Texas truck. I just hated the titanium interior and needed a 2nd row bench. Bought a 2014 z71 suburban instead.

Edit: I'd be lying to you if I wasn't in a little bit of a horsepower panic tho.

Anyone want to buy my old truck. OBS Black Denali? 322k miles but still runs perfect. I put in my 15 years and wanted something newer.

Did the 2014 Escalade get the audio upgrades like the Yukon has in 2014? I’m looking at a 14 Escalade Premium and the radio display doesn’t look any different than the 08-13 display. I know the Yukon got the upgraded software before switching over to the new system in 2015!

I think 2012 is when the audio upgrade happened to gmc/chevy with switch to centerpoint bose hdd and non dvd based NAV; not sure about caddy. It sounds pretty decent with an added sub/amp. Since the lifter issue was addressed in 2011, and the audio in 2012, I would suggest a 12-14 4wd tahoe or burb z71 with the 2 speed transfer case and 6 speed tranny. A custom tune really wakes up the 5.3, but an slp supercharger kit for $5800 will allow 6.2L power with 5.3 gas milage. With an LT Z71, you will not have to address the expensive autoride thats on the LTZ & denali, plus it will be easier to lift, level, or drop. You should also have tranny cooler and 3.42 gears with the z71.

I'm not 'allowed' to post in the classifieds yet as I do not have enough posts.
Here's my truck on Autotrader.

If anyone else has any suggestions about where I can post this truck. or if someone is gracious enough to use their clout around here and post it themselves in the classified section, it would be heroic.

As with most of us on TYF, im super glad to talk all about my truck and answer any questions. Though I bought the '14 Z71 Burb (havent picked it up yet) Im almost regretting doing the swap. You really get attached, you know?
