I sold some stuff cheap on ebay and I wish I could do that, but it's unethical, what's the world coming to.

About the same thing happened to me, with a shipping delay being the MO. The guy sold me a CHEAP Denali center console and delayed me for over a month on shipping it. I heard every excuse in the book, sickness, lost a job, blahblahblah. I didn't give a shit about ONE of them, I just wanted my console! So after I got sick of waiting, I told him I was going to report him and such. So he refunded me my money and that was it. Basically there's nothing you can do, except leave bad feedback on his ebay profile. Then it's up to everyone else whether they want to do business with that punk.

My guy had a few bad comments on his profile, but I just brushed them off. I won't do that again.

Im not taking sides here but I would prob. do the same thing.
Once I got screwed out of my 07 stock tails because I forgot I posted on Ebay and the auction ended at $90!!!!
Screw that!!! It cost me $35 just to ship it and it had the third brak light, both tails, and all bulbs, so basically I only got $55 from it, thats the def. of screwed over (seriously thought about sending his money right back to him and calling it a day)!!!
Then another time I was selling an HID kit with a extra set of bulbs so that was about $120 worth of stuff from DDM and some douche bag bidded on it and almost won it for $23!!!
Really, I cancelled his bid and it ended and he seriously sent me a message telling me that I don't know how to Ebay, I told him to suck my **** and get lost, I don't steal for a living and neither do I need $23 urgently for something.
I think you would prob. do something similar if it happened to you.

In two weeks I'll leave negative feedback.
For now I'm trying to find out if we can negotiate a higher price, I'd pay $56 each for them but not the $400 I bid at 10 seconds before close and won the whole set for $56.
Through the auction we were communicating he sent me 8 close up photos.
If he wasn't willing to sell by Ebay's terms or he sold them locally he should have ended it early. Plenty of items I've been watching are ended that way.

Just cause the dude is new doesn't make his points less valide. eBay has plenty of ways to protect yourself as a seller.

hey, better than not getting it for a month and then being accused of being a thief by the seller... as if I would be so hard up for both $20 and a shift knob that I would need to do that.

Aside: I always find it wierd that sellers offer insurance as an option as if it protects the buyer... the buyer can't even file a claim!
If the item is lost or damaged, the buyer according to ebay rules gets a full refund directly from the seller, period.
The insurance then compensates the seller.
Why would any intelligent seller offer it a an option?

At one time ebay was cool, now it sucks for everyone buyers and sellers alike. The only one that wins is ebay which is also paypal and ebay stores. I found a lot of new sellers stall because paypal will either hold the money for 30 days before actually transfering into your account or when the buyer actually receives the item. Personally I have been avoiding ebay as much as possible. With all there fees, ebay isnt that great of a deal any more.

And by the way jimweis, sorry to hear about the end result of your ebay auction you won, that's just not the right way for a seller to handle business!! Please leave negative feedback for him for sure, it will keep more honest buyers from being burned by him in the future!!

I won some GM 20" chrome wheels a little over an hour ago. Price was super low, no reserve auction.

So I paid with paypal and five minues later I get an email from paypal that I received a refund and the item is no longer available.

Thanks for letting me rant:emotions122:

Maybe I'm missing something here. You purchased, got a full refund and a message saying item no longer available. I must have mistaken ur post for paid, no refund and item no longer available. I don't see a problem here, except an item that should have been taken off the site but wasn't until they tried to process an order and realize it's out of stock. Like I said I might be missing something
