There are some issues that I have found in this platform though. The amperage of these lights must be enough the the BCM doesn't like it. I didn't want to use the actual door triggers in fear of causing other issues. I can't us a regular relay off of the domelight source because it will buzz slightly when being triggered or shutting off. Using a timer relay you have to compensate the time they are on. I'd rather have them mirror the domelights exactly. I am going to swap all of the interior lights with LEDs and see if the BCM will behave OK with all of them online. If not, I may have to use a micro relay inside each door for triggering.

Run the door signal as a source to turn on a relay, boom lights work with door without any difference to the BCM.

Yes, I have a bunch of micro relays but wasn't sure if it would work right with the front doors. They have gray/black (ajar) and tan(open) neg. triggers. I suppose I could use the tan trigger wires with relays. The back doors are simple - triggers so that wouldn't be a problem with relays. The only other issue then would be what do to shut them off after the BCM shuts down the domelight if a door is left open. Using door triggers you won't be able to control that. Plus, the relays will be even more of a draw too.

Ended up fixing the buzz of the relay. I tried everything even wrapping it with insulation and stuffing it well under the carpet. That didn't work. Heck, you could hear it buzz on the outside of the truck!

Tried a few different sizes capacitors. 220uf works perfect. Lights will still dim and the relay no longer buzzes!
