Gifted this Tahoe

I’ll have some questions in the future so I figured in post what I have for further reference. My FIL gifted us his old 05 tahoe lt. 97k miles and runs like the day he bought it. There’s some rot in the running boards an little in the front bumper. Otherwise not bad. I’ve looked into lifting it a bit but seems the autoride may make it costly.

I looked into it and it seems like I need to replace the springs as well as the shocks. Is that correct? At that point I’ll just get a lift kit if that’s the case.
