I don't see how pulling the green wire out of the harness will do anything, pull the wire and attach the green from the pac harness? pull the green wire and jam the pac green wire in the harness.........

still looking for some clarification as to what I am doing with the green wire pictured above.
3. Connecting the SWI-JACK's steering wheel control input wire to vehicle plug.

Read the note in the chart below.
Connect the SWI-JACK's Green wire to Tap into Pin B31 (Lt. Green) of the above connector.
This plug is located left of the steering wheel column behind a metal shroud held on by 4 10mm nuts. The plug at radio cannot be interfaced.

It says to "tap" into pin b31, what are my options for doing this?

strip the wire jacket back and solder to it. if not get a pack of red 3m t taps. the headphone jack on the axxess part is most likely for the aswc ( metras steering wheel interface). they come prewired for easier install.

got it, thanks. Will try the headphone jack first and see what happens. What I still don't understand is why theres one on the gm interface with no instructions as to what its for or how to program it if in fact thats what it is.

update, just an fyi, when buying the gms 04 integration harness from axxess do yourself a favor and get the AXXCESS steering wheel harness NOT the pac harness as some audio sites will tell you to.
