Pretty cool tech here:

Having a persistent 4G LTE connection will mean that GM will be able to send frequent software updates to vehicles. It’s also a persistent connection for the MyLink system, which will now include an HTML5-driven touch interface and a growing collection of “apps” that leverage the connectivity. An in-car Wi-Fi network has been engineered into the vehicle designs to provide broadband access to passengers.

When distracted drivers start killing people in other cars with this technology, I'll be looking forward to the day that class-action lawsuits are filed by the legal profession against the automotive industry and the cellular providers for allowing moron drivers to diddle with crap that has NOTHING to do with DRIVING their vehicles.

The federal government needs to throttle GM and AT&T now!

When distracted drivers start killing people in other cars with this technology...

They've already stated they will ALSO use this technology WITH GPS to tell if the car is in motion and block out features that could cause distraction. Even if you tried to bypass it, it could see that your car is connecting from tower to tower and block out the features.
