GM Issues 3.6 Million Vehicle Recall for Airbag. Yukon, Tahoe/Subur/Escalade on List

Had the SDM update done this morning taking less than 1 hr from check in to driving away. Now I keep seeing Pokemon characters on the central display. Hmm.

You might want to check your seatbelt retract area. I saw where they were hacking the rubber around the seatbelt.

Wow that looks like shit!! These vehicles are expensive, this is what has taken me so long to purchase another one. The cartoonish plastic interior and GM being so shotty doing recalls like that... I dunno how I feel now.

Mine was also effected, and I brought it in about 2 weeks ago, all they did was hook the suv up to the laptop and load some software.. Took about 15 minutes,, no biggie..

I had the update done a few weeks ago and can confirm they did NOT do that to my Yukon.

Sorry man but someone played you. If the dealer did that to me, I would be kicking someone's teeth in. There's NO WAY that's considered a fix or improvement. I fell under the recall but I dare someone to do that to my truck.

My Tahoe is scheduled to go in tomorrow for the recall.

I received the recall letter yesterday. I need to call the dealer service guy tomorrow. Now that I have actually read the letter, it reads in part "Even though you may have already had repairs for this condition, you will still need to take your vehicle to your dealer for additional repairs." Curiouser, and curiouser.

I read that part as well and am curious if this means I need to bring it in again? I just had the recall taken care of a couple of weeks ago so I'm not sure if these letters were prepared a while back and are just now getting into the hands of owners or if this really does mean that it needs to be re-done.
