I want to install the factory trans cooler on my 07 Tahoe. I found what I want on gmpartsdirect. I am going on vacation and hauling the boat at the end of the month. I am wondering what experiences people have had with shipping parts from gmpartsdirect. I am located in PA and would like to have the parts ASAP because I won't have a lot of oppurtunities to work on getting it installed between now and then other than this weekend and early next week.

Does gmparts direct ship quickly? Or what have been other peoples experiences?

Thanks!

It really depends on exactly _where_ the parts come from. I've ordered parts from them before. Sometimes they get shipped out of a dealership in Dallas, sometimes elsewhere, like Michigan. Also, depending on who ships it, is their speed with processing the order.

I'd expect 5-7 work days to get the parts delivered, depending on where they get shipped from.

Typically slow and very expensive shipping compared to other places. I actually have a brand new GM cooler kit (if your Tahoe has the 4 spd auto transmission)...if you're interested.

I use GMPD to get the right part numbers using my VIN#, that's about it.
I don't typically buy from them because of there shipping costs and inconsistent shipping.

Just ordered parts from gmpartscenter.net
Ordered last night, part was shipped this morning. Don't know if that helps but they appear to be on it.

I would be however, I put the order in yesterday and am hoping for the best. Hopefully it doesn't take more than 2 weeks to get here. The installation looks pretty simple so I hope I can squeeze it in some evening before the trip. It gave me a shipping quote of 10 bucks but also said they might email to let me know if shipping costs more because its a unusual shaped item. I can cancel the order at that point if I don't agree to pay the extra shipping charges(if any). If the shipping is ridiculous, I may contact you about the parts. Thanks!

The parts i need from gmpartscenter.net total about 160 compared to the 69 on gmpartsdirect so if shipping takes a little longer I am ok with those savings.

Thanks for the input all. Very much appreciated.

ditto this. While they have better pricing, their shipping costs always kill it for me. I almost bought an escalade roof rack... until I saw the shipping at $500+. I called them to ask why it was so expensive and their response was, "we have the lowest pricing, but we also have to pay the people that run our site and continue to bring our customer's low pricing. The shipping cost is to compensate for that."

Thats BS! Shipping rates should be exact shipping rates! Not shipping, plus paying Sally Sue for answering my order questions + Don the parts guy who has to call GM and order the part direct + utilities to run their computers. Complete crap!

After I heard that I'll never buy from them again.

I ordered some parts for my father in law month and a half before christmas. 3 weeks later no response to emails and canceled the order. Then they showed up three days later. Not to happy with their service. Have stuck with ebay and amazon since.

Well, I ordered the part on June 16 and just got the tracking number via e-mail. Expected delivery June 21. Shipping was 10 bucks. Hopefully I won't become one of the gmpartsdirect shipping nightmares I've been reading about. Seems to be going well so far.
