I had talked with a local shop about the DOD/AFM.
He said a lot of people by new motors to replace the original ones. This just doesn't sound practical to me.

Has anyone seen or heard anything about this kit? This seems to be a more logical way to go, along with a new cam and you're set.

Opinions/thoughts?

I agree, disabling would resolve everything.
I should've clarified, this was in a worst case scenario if damage had been done.

Does the AFM still cause issues on the newer engines that have updated valve covers pcv updates? Just curious, I have a 2012 that is exactly 1yr and 8k miles old and I dont want to mod the ECM on my truck until it is out of warranty.
