I'm working on an 07 yukon xl. I've been reading through and I was hoping someone had the pin the hood switch is connected to on the bcm? I've replaced the switch, unplugged the switch, broke out the multimeter and I'm getting 12v, 5v, and ground with continuity, and tried making a jumper to close the circuit cause nothing else is working.
If the problem is the bcm it's currently the only thing I can find wrong and can't justify replacing it just off of this. Although, I'm sure people spend about that much to install a remote start.
Besides testing to check if it's the bcm, knowing where the other end of the wire is would be helpful to rule out if it's been pinched and grounding out somewhere else causing the light to come on.
