Looking for a good honest shop in Portland (surrounding area) for both general 'fix' for my Tahoe and performance mods...
I have an 2009 Tahoe (well out of the warranty...and its time to have some fun with) thanks

For performance, wongs performance in Vancouver is the guy. All he does is GM vehicles and has quite a rep in the corvette world. He tuned my buddys 5th gen camaro with headers, cai & maybe a muffler delete and got him 424whp.

The only regular "fix-it"/ maintenance type shops Ive experienced was checkpoint motors in Oregon City. The owner is honest, reasonable, and only fixes whats needed. But other people are catching on so wait times are starting to become longer.

Thanks Matthew- I have also heard good things about Wongs- I'll check them out.
Checkpoint too- OC is great cause I'm in West Linn so just across the bridge. Appreciate the feedback.

I've used K&M Automotive in SE a few times. I was sent there by a friend who owns Thompson's Autobody, that's where he gets his work done. Trustworthy so far, easy to work with.

Repairs and maintenance. On my Denali, they troubleshot my autoride for no charge. I also had them change all the fluids (tranny, transfer case, diff's) and had the best price around. My daughters Passat had a few repairs made and they never jerked me around. I called around comparison shopping every time and they were consistently at the low price end. They've always treated me right. I've done all my own mods so far.
Edit: Blackbear Performance is my tuner. I bought their Autocal so I can install a new tune whenever I need.

If you ever need a good transmission shop Transmedic (owner is Corey) is the place to go. Located in Gresham and Corey is awesome to work with!
