I have the Stainless Goodridge kit from tirerack and it would not install properly. So basically the threads in the goodridge lines did not go deep enough. When I attempted to thread the ss lines to the hard lines, the nut bottomed out and would not tighten the line up. No it was not cross threaded.

I tried the main supply line above the diff and one of the rear wheel lines with the same result. Just because I felt like fighting it, I actually cut off the factory flare, removed the stock nut and installed a new stepped nut, and reflared the line. It actually worked better, but then the line was too deep and the nut actually bottomed out at the top before it seated! Thats hard to describe in words. I ended up putting the stock lines back on.

Anyone else had this problem??

I have an 02 Z71 tahoe, which I assume is non-stabilitrak since it is only the 5 line kit (not the 6 line stabilitrak). I also understand that the stabilitrak and posi in my truck wont mix.

Please help!

have you contacted the manufacturer or the place you ordered the kit from?

Tomorrow is my day off, so I plan to see what they say. My ss lines were also from tirerack.

I'm having an issue with them as well. Here's the post I put up on GMFS and DT.com.

I recently ordered a set of Goodridge SS lines from Butch over on DT.com. I've got an 07 classic non-Denali CC 4wd with rear drums. I already had Russell SS lines and elected to replace the fronts due to something wearing through the clear coating in one spot on the passenger side.

Talked to Butch and ordered up kit #14182 which he said was the best match for my application. However, it seems the lines are much too long. Now, Goodridge does say on the package that their lines are 3/4" longer than stock, but these are definitely longer than that.

Here's a pic. Russell SS line on top, OEM in the middle and Goodridge on the bottom.

So, what gives? Has anyone else had an issue like this? Pics below for reference.

Looking towards the front on driver's side showing existing Russell SS line for reference.

Following the instructions, I began routing the line from the caliper.

Used the stock hardware.

Here's where the main issue lies. As you can see, there is way to much line from the UCA bracket to the frame. So much so, that the line contacts the front UCA mount and brushes against the tie rod when I articulate the steering.
