so i just got an offer for some boss chrome 24's w new tires for my 2 spg555's and both gt-28 sub amps.. i dont have any money for rims and im riding stocks so what do you guys think.. should i do it?

yes...tunes are for you, rims, EVERYONE can see and get you noticed more, than blaring subs.

lol thanks.. plus i will still have nice loud mids and highs... i figured it would be cheaper to add subs and a sub amp later than buying 24's.. we are supposed to trade this wkend so ill let you know..

can anyone help me on how i should mount my tweeters when i only have surface mounts.. i have a set of components for each door but no flush mounts and i dont want it to look like sh*t.... opinions appreciated

you could always use fiberglass it doesnt seem that hard to do

Oh no that comes off very easily. Haha. But did you or are you going to run new wiring for them? You are going to run them on a new amp correct?

i ran 6X9s in the roof and it wasnt hard at all...for the wiring i ran em in parrallel to make it easier for myself and came down the back pillar piece and ran under the jack mount place to the amp..but the easiest way really is to splice off the original speaker wires behind the dash and run it to the amp..pretty simple install

UPDATE: the guy pussed out on trading so im gonna just keep what i got and finish the system.. if anyone could please give me some ideas of what i should do mounting wise with the tweeters i got because i dont have flush mounts.. only got surface mounts

@ btp001- I didnt even think about splicing into those and running to the amp. That would be pretty simple! Maybe one day i'll get around to putting 6x9's up there. For now I disconnected the 4x10's.

and that sucks Justin! I hope the rest of the install goes well. Fiberglass works magic
