IMO for your headlights get these... They are projector and Use the same 9006 bulb the truck uses factory so you dont even have to change your HID bulbs out (which you might with aftermarket housings)

I know these have the LED things, but you dont have to put those on if you dont want to, the light itself is very quality though. You will have a much better beam paddern than with your stock ones. these are also glass projector lenses.

My Tuck already has the DRL module, and the kit came with plugins for almost everything, so I just plugged in the apropriate end into the existing 9006 plug.

At the same time I did mine, a buddy did his truck. His truck is from the states, so it didn't have the DRL module. For him we just fed his relay from an ignition or accessory wire. So in effect as long as his key is on, it powers the relay, which in turn powers the HID's! Instant DRL!

You could do the same.

The beauty of feeding the relay from the accessory switch is an instant 4-hi mod! Your lows won't turn off when you switch to highs.

Hope that helps!

I've seen those projector lights on ebay. I didn't know if it was for style or they actually did something worse/better to the beam pattern. So I ignored them...hehe... What is the actual difference in beam patterns from regular to projector? Any one have pics?

I've seen those turn signals too.. Actually they are not LED's, they're LED lookalike. You can almost see the two bulbs in the pictures. They are brighter where the bulbs are and dimmer on the ends and middle.

You brought up a good point. Glass or Plastic? Are most people ok with buying plastic? If so, are they yellowing? After three years? five?

Well no luck with Partssource.ca trying to bring in aftermarket lighting accessories. Yesterday I poured through the shops online order system with Partssource looking for an aftermarket manufacturer. All they had was stock replacements. One local parts vendor can have access to them, but he orders from Keystone, and puts his markup on the parts. an example would be for a K&N CAI, jobber price from him is $390. Forget about lighting, it's still cheaper to buy from Ebay and take it up the ass. Shipping and customs charges add up to almost three times as much as the parts. :emotions122:

I've been googling for days trying to find a Canadian distributor for lights, tails, leds, etc. No joy. I've googled for Toronto tuners, aftermarket, performance, etc. Nothing.. Oh I find JDM shops in TO, but they are for import r#%e rockets.

I might just have to suck it up and buy from Ebay or other US vendors. If I buy what I want, it doesn't come as a kit, so I have to pay shipping for the headlights, the turn signals and the corner lights each. at ~$100 each, my wife will shoot me if I spend ~$300 just on shipping charges at Christmas....sigh...

Desperately seeking susa....er...Canadian distributors.

projectors are just better, period, especally with HID headlamps, They have proper beam padderns to 1. give you more light, 2. stop the annoying glare of your hids to oncomming traffic. If you look at your lights now its very hotspotish and not very even. The projectors will fix both of these problems and give you a very nice modern look, Also the cutoff is what stops the glare, and fixes your beam paddern. These are the best I have seen for an OBS with out going with the TYC HID system, or retrofitting HIDS.

Ok, so after a few days of googling. Your right.

There seems to be a really good set of projectors with seperate lens and shrouds, and the less expensive plastic/glass with the lens built-in.
And projectors seem to be the current fad and they do fix the problems you've mentioned.

But after looking around for a few days, I'm not feeling the projector look. Maybe I'm too old and not quite as hip as I used to be, and turning more into my dad, but I'm thinking more subtle mods, like clear or smoked cystal.
And even thought the led bumperlights may not be as reliable, I think that I'm going to give them a go.

Here's the part list that I'm thinking of;
blacked out corner lights w/amber strip: CCL-GCK88-BK-AM
blacked out headlight: http://cgi.ebay.ca/1994-1995-1996-1997-1998-Suburban-Yukon-BLK-Head-Lights_W0QQitemZ280399172323QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item414917d2e3
blacked out led bumper/turn lights: c1088jmled http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/Sped_D-Tuning/Corner-Lights/GMC-C10-Spec_D-Tuning-Black-LED-Bumper-Lights-_-2LB_C1088JMLED_KS/640170/

Then its a question of if I can find them in Glass?
oh and I'm working on finding a place to buy them in Canada.
