I TOLD YOU TO GO BLACK...LET IT ROLL BRO!

I have $2,500 Foose's and bet your ass the rivets were cheap plastic chrome. To replace them was $340. Heck the Plastic Center Caps were $200.

Get rid of rivets!

Good choice on the Falkens...for the price you can't beat the STZ

My rivets are gonna cost 40 bux for the chrome ones. I still have the ones that were powder coated but imo an all black rim only looks good when a truck is chromeless, so until I do my bumpers in black I'm going to use the chrome accents.

I had to replace 1 center cap and this is a Sacchi s290 and it cost me 80 bux for 1!!!

Wow that's pretty cheap ... did he sandblast them first for that price?
Cause my understanding is that powder-coating won't 'take' on chrome for any length of time.

They'll look great on your ride. :waytogo:

No sandblast. They were pitted to hell on the lips so I scraped all flakes off, wired wheeled and sanded them down. Scratched up the chrome pretty good. I considered sandblasting but all the quotes we got were out of my range.

Thanks bro!

Nice, i have been wondering how powdercoated rims that were originally chrome would hold out, without extensive prep work. Keep us posted

Finally got the fender trim off and blacked, but I need to replace the rear 2. Anybody have a set w/no dents or dings for grabs?

This is how they came out.

Damn I wish I would have kept my chrome wheel-well trim after I took them off, but I threw them away.

I'm too lazy to go look but my rims have rivets, how do you get them out? Allen wrench? And where did you buy your chrome ones?

The rivets came out with pliers, but be easy they're plastic. You can get the replacement ones here. http://www.prestigewheel.com/mainRivets.htm
