Grill piece on the hood

I was looking to put a Denali style grill on my 2008 yukon, but it appears that most of teh grill manufacturers only supply the grill insert.

From most of teh pics I see it looks like there is a chrome piece that is ontop of the grill, possibly connected to the hood? IS that right?

I might just abandona ll my upgrades and get a denali but I don't want that 6.2 AWD..... gas is horrid on my buddies...

Yep I have an AWD/6.2L and get 10.2 mpg. Well worth it though

Yes, the chrome piece is connected to hood.
