Did the same on my 1989 K-Blazer that I turned in for the 2001 Yukon I now drive.

I had a Webasto sun roof installed on one of my vehicles a few years ago and very happy with the after market install. They are supplier to several OEMs. From past experience make sure the glass moon roof is flush or slightly lower than the roof line. It will produce wind noise if it isn't (close position). I had to take back my car a few times so that the installer can make the adjustments. Other than that no issue with Webasto sun roof.

I had that same sunroof put in my 14 sierra. I like the way it worked better than the factory one I have now. The wind deflectors that pop up in the OEMs are mesh and are loud, plus the auto close feature was nice.

I do agree with jl449 about the adjustment. The glass on my old one stuck up above the roof slightly and created lots of wind noise. I had to get a weathertech wind deflector to fix the prob.

Webasto made the first sliding steel sunroof in the 50's for Mercedes and Porsche. European rag top sunroofs were all Webasto too. You won't find a better sunroof, almost all European cars with sunroofs are Webasto. They do the retractable hard top convertible BMW's too
