So went to the dealership to have my driver's side door lock fixed as the actuator went out. Mind you I had to take the truck in about 2 months ago because the back driver's side door actuator went out. Also my remote start still will intermitently stall out when started and can not be re-started untill it's started with a key, then you can try again.

So after about 2 hours they get me and tell me they can't re-create the remote start problem (no way!) but did replace the driver's side actuator. So I get in the truck to make sure it's all working right, low and behold the rear passenger lock actuator is bad. Now I live a good 30-45 min away from the dealership so I walk back in and tell them the problem. After explaining to them how far away I live and how coming down here is not a quick trip they fixed that lock too. Oh yeah, and the two times they had it back there, they never washed it. :Boo:

Anyone else have problems with the door lock actuators? This is the 3rd one to go out.

Oh at least they also fixed the brake light issue in TSB 08-08-42-003

I have also had mine replaced. The dealer told me that GM was using a manufacturer during assembly that made terrible actuators. Since then, GM has supposedly switched to a different manufacturer. My was replaced about 2-3 months ago and so far so good. (knock on wood)

I have an 08 yukon 8000 miles... have had every door replaced except the trunk door. RIDICULOUS! but truck is under warranty so it hasn't pissed me off too bad yet considering it free!

Had same problem! 09 Tahoe, 12K mi. First the rear passenger door lock went out, 2 weeks later, the rear driver side door lock went out and the driver door lock was intermittent. Dealer replaced actuators on all. Waiting for passenger door to go out!!!

These actuators suck. I have an 08 LTZ around 16K miles. Right rear door actuator was replaced a couple months ago...now I have to replace right front!! I can tell I'll probably have to replace the driver door soon too!
