Got my new carpet from the dealer today (got for about what aftermarket was going to cost). It is 100% original- no trimming, molded perfectly, everything like the one that came out- except this one is all new and clean and all.

The only problem is they can't get that molded piece that fits over the second row brackets... I'll have to get that dyed to match the new carpet- it looks like hell now.

Now when the darn FedEx guy drops off my box of hushmat, I can start putting it back together. I'm tired of truck parts all over the house... (like this carpet in the kids' playroom)

Wow.

Nice.

How much was this?

List is $223.69 and $323.45 for the two sections (there is a seam under the second row) but I would imagine its a little cheaper for a Tahoe. I got both for under $400 (wife gets discount at work- pretty much the same pricing as the online GM Part vendors but I don't have to deal with shipping).

I was really happy to see the plastic parts for the third row were included- on the parts drawings they are shown as separate pieces but they are seam welded into the carpet so I don't know how you'd install them.....

Finished!

Got the bus finished up on Saturday. I put hushmat over the entire floor:

Then started putting the freshly detailed interior back together. The new carpet fit exactly like it was supposed to - all the details were dead on. No trimming, no cutting, no messing around at all.

I am very happy with how it came out- it looks like a brand new truck. Now I gotta keep yelling at the kids "Keep your feet on the mats!"

great job...looks purty!!

Thanks. Hard to believe now its an 09. It's at the body shop right now getting a redo on a piss-poor door repair (deer strike from previous owner), the front bumper fixed (guess the PO never saw a curb she didn't like) and all the scratches/scuffs removed.

If I'm happy with how the body shop does (I'm REAL fussy), its getting the chrome door handles, mirror caps and GM exhaust tip to finish blinging it out.

Gotta ask....
How much work are we talking about here? How long did it take to strip the interior and put it back together? How much diffidence did the hushmat make? My carpet doesn't need replacing but if the sound deadening is pretty effective, I might put some down in my Yukon.

You have to gut the entire interior- remove the seats, the center console and all the trim panels. Is not difficult but a fair bit of work.

Hard to say how much the hushmat helped. I need to do a side by side ride with one without it. I did notice more wind noise and a couple squeaks I never heard before so it must be quieter.
