Hard Mounted Ammo Can Compressor Caddy

Last night I hard mounted an ammo can to secure my compressor rather than have a flailing death compressor bouncing around in the back of the truck. I removed the tie-down point in the right rear of Mimi and drilled a 10mm hole in the bottom of the can. I then used a longer bolt stolen from my crank pulley puller collection and a transmission bushing for a spacer.

I like the patina on the ammo can. Are you worried there might be rust that forms with the new hole in the floor of your truck?

Edit: Or did I misunderstand and you used an existing tie down and modified it to fit the can?

I used the existing threaded hole for the tie-down.

There's no cubby there, that's rear HVAC. The cubby on the other side is not strong enough.
