Has anyone ever done a Diesel swap into a 08 tahoe? i want more torque and power. my 5.3 is about to self destruct.

a friend of mine did it in his 01 Tahoe. This is a massive job with tons of custom fabrication. if you don't own a shop and have years of experience in diesel engines and custom engine/drivetrain controllers, you're only option is super deep pockets and luck to find a shop that could do this.

999/1000 just put a fresh 5.3 in it. or find a 6.0 or 6.2 if you want some more. you could easily do some other modifications before swapping the engine in. this would be 1/20 the cost of a cummins swap (for 99% of people).

As stated, a bored and stroked LS or a whipple is the way to go.
