I tailgate quite a bit between season tickets for football and baseball season and there are times when we like to go out early and watch other games on the TV. I thought it might be cool to install a smallish TV in the liftgate of the truck so i don't have to haul my TV around. I thought i could get some good ideas off the internet but i can't seem to find anyone that has done this. Anyone attempted this? I'm pretty handy and i'm sure i could figure it out but seems like something that i could benefit from others trials and errors.

Not in a lift gate but have installed in trunk lids. Not sure how much you would want to get into because the screens I've done were stationary. You would have to have one that swiveled or swung out so you could see it easily. Otherwise you'd only be able to see it when sitting on the back of the vehicle then you'd have to keep looking straight up.

yea i was thinking having a swing down type monitor sort of like the one that comes factory in the RES but not just stuck up there. Ideally it would sit flush with the rest of the plastic pieces that cover the lift gate, or even use the plastic that was cut out to match when closed, but not sure how feasible that is. Just throwing out ideas.
