Honestly...realistically from Modder to another...when does it ever stop?

You seen my build thread I am well over 5k into, probably got another 2-3k coming. That is me selling both my OBS Blowers. Ask me why I did it...b/c I wanted atleast 5-600 HP and Marine intake would have helped but they are far and few and when they do come up it is alot of money AND THEY NEED WORK! If my spider unit didn't go, I would have been pro-charged in the Vortec. I got so mad when my spyder unit went. I just put in my two weeks notice that I would need 4 days off so I can blow the Hoe. When my spyder unit went...it was like someone pooped in my Easter Basket. I just did that 2 years ago when I re-did my valvetrain. Imagine having to change out the spyder unit with a blower stuffed in there? Not cool...

Honestly whipples are $$$$ you can defenitely sell your kit for 3-2,500. I sold mine a awhile back for $1,900 for the Vortec and it was incomplete...just food for thought :)

I was under in impression with what you've said that you didn't know what type of blower the Eaton was. Sorry I guess I've been reading too much BMW forums trying to get info about mods for my wife's M3. Those people are so damn ignorant about performance parts. A guy swapped a Ls1 in an E36 chassis and he built a manifold to get a Lightning 112 on there. Everyone was talking about how much power that blower should make and all this awesome torque and etc. After the car was up and running he discoveredthe blower was maxed out. There were people thinking he could make 600whp with the stock pulley. And everyone was going on and on how the twin screw 112 he was putting on would be so badass.

I've got a super low mile LQ9 that I bought to swap in the 04 Yukon XL I built for my wife 2 years ago. We sold it before I swapped it out. What would the swap to a LS engine cost roughly? I have the long block but I would need intake, exhaust manifolds and accessory drive. What will I need as far as they go to make the swap easiest. I'm very familiar with that engine but I was think/hoping a Maggie/Eaton blower swap could be done cheap and be done well since nothing is really made for the Vortec anymore and so many vehicles and boats came with it.

Great starting point. Check both sites below for parts and pretty much everything else involving an LS swap.
I'm also looking for an accessory drive for mine. Manifolds are cheap and are a dime a dozen on the bay. You may just want to look into aftermarket ones, may find a good deal from one of the vendors. I think the easiest but most expensive may be a harness that will make it pretty much plug and play.

Go through these and make notes
10 pages of fun :)

Check out the stickys at the top, tons of info. Its also a great site to check out for other builds and parts.

Hope this helps, I'm sure others will come in and drop more info for yah.

intake manifolds exhaust manifolds for short money on the bay
