Has anyone removed the 3rd brake light and flipped it to be on the inside?

I am wondering if anyone has taken the third brake light off the roof, and then mounted it on the trim that is on the rear hatch

If so can you please post pics and what was involved in mounting it inside, and in coverign your bolt holes in the roof (are the similar to the roof rack holes?)

unknown at this time.
the stock on can not be mounted inside and correct for it to work effectively. Especially with tinted windows, if optioned. However If I assume correctly that you have a tail gate and hatch there are plenty aftermarket units that have brackets to mount it to an object if not mount it with tape directly to inside of glass and you can wire it in that way. The are not expensive at all. I believe the holes maybe just be typical sheet metal screw holes. I do not remember.

Dorman makes replacements if you want to bring the functionality back.

thinking about throwing a fire and ice bar on it and getting rid of the top light. tail lights are pretty high already.
