Has anyone removed the orange reflectors on headlights

i hate my headlights and signal light orange reflectors can they be removed it looks like they can but before i destroy my lights im wondering if anyone has done this or can they be blacked out somehow?

Ya, I did it to my headlights before i nabbed some denali lights.. There has to be a write up on it... Here is a little photo gallery of my process....

stick them in the oven for a minute or 2 then pry the lens away from the housing very carefully and pull the orange lens out. seal up the lens with some good silicon so it doesnt fog up. Voila!

I wouldn't suggest removing the whole lens from the housing. Just pry it off enough on the end to slide the reflector out... and take your time.. I did manage to cut my hand with a butter knife during that procedure.

I would buy the $15 ebay parking light/blinker housings if you want to do them... I paid less than $20 after shipping, so it was definitely easier than jacking with the OEM housings.
