It actually works somewhat. I've known a few people to use it. I've never had the itch to use it though.

The way I understand it, water wetter is bad for your cooling system, because it has silicone in it. There are some other brands out there that are cheaper, and better for your cooling system. Just check your local Wal-Mart and/or auto parts store. I used a diffrerent brand (forgot the name, sorry) and it works great down here in the Florida heat!

I used to use it in my '69 Mustang. It never sees freezing temperatures so I would run straight water in it and use Water Wetter for lubricant/anti-corrosion that replaced regular antifreeze. Raw water dissipates heat MUCH better than a typical 50/50 mix. I got lazy and don't use Water Wetter any more, though...I just mix about 90% water, 10% antifreeze.

I used it in my classic british sports car once. cost me a head.
Damn thing cracked about 15 minutes after i added water wetter. Honestly if cooling is that marginal, just get a bigger rad.

ya i checked around i found some royal purple ice, $18 not sure if i wanna chance damage though, i just figured cooler temp better performance, no?
Not in this case. It will not improve performance of your Tahoe whatsoever. It's really pointless for you unless you're having overheating problems....and if you're having overheating problems, then you have other issues and you shouldn't use this product as a band-aid.
