Have a 2007 Suburban with 165k miles. When you Cold start the truck there is no noise besides the "normal" Valve train chatter. But after the transmission gets up to temp there is a noise that develops that I can only describe as a whirring sound.
Took a video of the sound. I Forgot to add a clip of a cold start but its pretty easy to make out the noise that isn't suppose to be there.
I'm thinking its my torque converter. It doesn't slip or shift badly and the noise tends to become less or disappear at higher than idle rpms. Its not something new either. Its made the noise since i bought it but its gotten a little louder.
