Have you ever cleaned your MAF?

I was looking on another forum and a guy claimed he gained 10rwhp and 14 rwtq off just cleaning his MAF? I think I might give this a try and see if runs better or mileage increases.

If you're running a pre-oiled filter sometimes the oil will coat the wires on the maf making things a little off. I do have maf cleaner & pre-oiled air filter. I cleaned my maf a few weeks back & I saw my mileage come back to normal after a little drop off.

Now to be fair...lets say he is telling the truth...he's not gaining 10hp & 14tq...he's recovering what was lost due to the maf readings being off.

If never hurts to clean the maf occasionally...just use a maf cleaner & don't touch the wires.

Yeah I ust cleaned mine three days ago with CRC MAF cleaner. Not gonna gain 10 HP, but it will help restore peformance a bit.
I clean mine everytime I clean my air filter, which is one a year.

I guess his AFR was jacked up so the guy doing the dyno asked him if he ever cleaned his MAF. This was after the first dyno pull. It's on PT.net.

Yes. I have cleaned mine. No noticeable power increase.

Also be sure to not use compressed air to dry it off after spraying it, just let it air dry!!

yeah thats a scam cause no mater what even if u dont do anything a second dyno run will always be a little bit higher then the first

Yeah that's not gonna happen. It's always good for your hoe to have the MAF clean but 10 RWH No way!
