I had Hankook Dynapros on my Explorer before. They were awesome new, but started out a little noisy and got worse and worse the older they were. I ended up putting a set of the same Conti LX20s on that car that my Tahoe has now. It was a revelation in quiet. So I am a little afraid of AT tires again.22" wheel

Do you have any better pics of your grill? We only live once my friend. Throw on the 22's. I currently have 22's and everything is fine. I'm thinking 24's when the tires need replacing. Check out the DUB "Baller" wheels. View attachment 73130
I went from 18 to 22 and wish I could run them year round, I went with chrome, so I swap them back in the winter time but the 22's change the whole look of the vehicle and I love it. Does not affect ride quality for me.I'm struggling, more than I should, with the decision on my wheels. I have an LT with the 20" polished silver wheels, which are one of my least favorite things about the truck.
It's Tungsten, and I really do think it needs black wheels. Here's the struggle:
I appreciate the low maintenance that the 20" wheels provide. Sidewalls are tall enough that curb rash is not inevitable, tires are a little less $$, to my eyes the wheels aren't notably undersized. I might be able to black powdercoat the existing wheels and be done.
Undoubtedly, the 22" wheels look better, both from the side and from the back where the slightly wider tire and slightly more aggressive wheel offset does show up. Ride quality may suffer.
So - who has made the switch from 20s to 22s? Glad you did? Wish you hadn't?
An additional option is a 295/50 or 305/50 tire on the 20" wheel, which would probably look nice and beefy. Either would be within 1% of the same rolling radius.
