Hi I'm Ciro and I own a beautiful. Lack on black 2010 Tahoe Texas edition and from day one its had issues (i bought it used alltho it only had 11k miles on odo and only 8 months old at time of purchase ) anyway from day one the truck had crazy weird issues and what makes ne even crazier is that gm doesn't even acknowledge the problems I bring it in for so being that I super mechanically inclined and actually have a lift in ny warehouse ,here I am lol
Anyway the problems I'm having is with my four wheel drive, how much friction should I feel when in 4 hi when turning wheels to lock position any given side ? Second issue is ay times when I engage truck into 4wheel low it bangs into gear ?
Third issue is once in 4wheel low range (on dry pavement just to test it ) when I give it gas its like it not in gear I accelerate but the truck doesn't really have any grip it moves but not as much as I think it should given the amount I push the pedal to accelerate r? I'm thinking maybe shift linkage if transfer case has one ? Or transfer case internal chain ? Basically the whole engaging and disengaging of four wheel drive not smooth and also noisy ,and I don't mean noisy like hearing it engage ,I mean noisy like something not right ?any help greatly appreciated being that one I paid 40k$ for ttt ruck and it never drove right and two ,cause it a really nice truck and it a shame to drive it as if it a clunker when it not it currently has 60kmiles but it all miles I pretty much put on minus the original 11000 miles I bought it with
It's very strange to me that this trick from day one with very low miles havnig the four wheel drive issues it has . Mind you when I purchased the truck it had bent rims well the lips on the rims anyway ,I'm guessing the owner before me hit something like a curb at a high enough rate of speed to maybe damage parts under truck transmission isn't perfect either but its the four wheel drive issues that really get me going I go upstate ny a lot and when it snows well I'm gonna need the four wheel drive which definitely isn't working proper as of right now
