Having trouble removing power steering pump

I'm in the process of changing the p/s pump on my 02 Tahoe. The Haynes manuel I'm using says that the pump is held by four bolts, three on the side facing forward, and one on the back side. I've removed the four that they pictured but it doesn't seem possible to remove the pump without removing more stuff? It looks as though the bracket on the back side of the pump needs to come off? Can someone please expound on this, I don't want to waste time removing something that doesn't need to be removed. Besides some are hard to get to, BTW I failed to mention its non-hydro boost & 4wd
